They are scheduled to install our new air conditioner on Tuesday morning. I'll have to be up and dressed by about 8:00 because they could arrive anywhere between 8:00 and 9:30. Cordelia just sleeps in a t-shirt and shorts, so I'm not particularly worried about her. She'll get up when she gets up.
The guy today did tell me that the new unit will take up more space than the old one. Apparently, they don't make them as small as they used to. This will mean that we'll lose some plants and that the long downspout will have to be cut off (It's about three feet long. I expect we'll have to figure out a way to redirect it as I'm sure that it emptying right onto the foot of the unit wouldn't be great).
They agreed not to put through the check for the deposit until Monday so that I'd have time to transfer money to cover it.
evalerie helped me out with a ride to the bank, so I've transferred the money from Cordelia's account to ours. That should give the transaction time to go through properly before they process the check.
Scott thinks his phone interview went well. The two jobs they're considering him for are not sales jobs but rather things he's more suited to. He suspects that he asked for too little money, but who knows? The biggest drawback, if he got one of the jobs, would be that the commute would be twice as long and would be at busy times of day. Right now, he drives about half an hour and is well before rush hour both going and coming. Of course, there's probably also a lot of competition for these jobs, so neither of us are holding our breath.
