Cordelia spent last night with Scott's sister's family. Scott's sister, our niece, Scott's parents, and some friends of Scott's parents are going to Frankenmuth (a touristy town known for Christmas decorations and fried chicken) for the afternoon, and they invited Cordelia to come along. She, being bored, was eager to go even though she has no idea what to expect.

Scott's sister had an evening meeting in Brighton at the church they all used to attend when Scott's parents lived in Brighton (it's where Scott and I got married), so Scott drove Cordelia up there and dropped her off so that his sister could take her the rest of the way to Howell. I have no idea how we're going to get Cordelia home, but I suppose we'll figure it out. Howell's only half an hour away, so it's largely a question of when Scott gets off work and when they all get back from Frankenmuth.

My Remix beta reader got back to me last night. She suggested some things that I need to clarify and some things I need to tweak but was, over all, happy with the story. She thinks I can get away with ending it where I did, so I'm not going to worry about adding on to it. I'm still trying to come up with a title that fits. I have the parenthetical part; I just don't have the first bit yet.

I'm finding myself wanting something to munch on fairly frequently the last few days. We don't actually have anything much in that direction-- some carrots and apples, basically. I did that deliberately so that I wouldn't snack on anything else, but it's hard not to be annoyed with myself when I find (again!) that we don't even have pretzels.

I'm trying this morning without the ankle brace. That may be a mistake, but I have to try it at some point. So far, I'm doing okay. The real test will be how I feel when I go to bed tonight.
