the_rckDelia has finished her swim class. The teachers recommended that she retake the same level class again because she hasn't mastered the skills of it. I don't know when she'll take another swim class. She needs one, but she doesn't want one, and soccer season is about to start. We can't commit to anything in the evenings until we know when soccer practices will be.
Basketball class is also over. Delia is glad of that. She wanted to play basketball, but all of the focus in the class was on improving skills through drills and non-basketball games. When I arrived to pick her up from class, she always looked like she was having fun, but she also complained a lot outside of class about it not being fun.
Chinese class continues for another few weeks. I really, really hope that soccer practice isn't on Tuesdays or doesn't start until the 26th of April, one or the other.
We're continuing with Rock Hunters practices on Saturdays. The other mother made flash cards from the mineral profiles I typed up. She found pictures of the minerals to put on one side and put my profile information on the other side. I've been using the cards at practice, but the kids dislike them. There's a lot of information they need to know and that I'm trying to convey but that doesn't interest them in the least.
