Jun. 24th, 2015 03:25 pmI have successfully scheduled Cordelia's annual doctor's appointment. It is, unfortunately, the same day as my next dental appointment, but it's during the week Scott has off in July (he's actually off two weeks, but the first week, we'll be traveling), so it should work. There's two and a half hours between when my dental appointment should start and when we need to be at Cordelia's doctor's office. I think that 's enough time.
We'll have to plan to do something nice after the appointment. Cordelia will be getting at least one immunization (the third in the HPV series which I've heard is exceedingly painful), and we try to give her a treat after those.
I'm hoping we'll find time that week to go north to see my grandmother. She turned 90 this year, so we haven't got many opportunities left to see her. Of course, the logistics are more challenging now that she's living with my aunt and uncle. I'm not sure if they have room to put us up, and it's really very hard to find a hotel up there during the summer because of the proximity to Lake Huron. I should probably email my aunt and ask her what she thinks. Maybe my cousin and his wife could put us up. I'm not sure how much room they've got. I suppose we could conceivably, if we started very early and got home very late, make a day trip of it. It's three and a half hours drive, however, so I'd really rather stay at least one night.

Date: 2015-06-26 07:23 pm (UTC)I know that my sister, a year or two ago, was able to get a cottage for two days, mid-week, up there, so I suppose that's an option.
