Jun. 25th, 2015 02:51 pmMy SIL gave me a bunch of socks last weekend so that I'd have something to wear with my ankle brace that was in between knee socks and anklets. Most of what she gave me are nice cotton socks that do the job they're supposed to, but today, I reached into the bag and pulled out a pair that are just plain nasty. They fit, and they keep the brace from hurting my leg, but when I touch them with my hands, they feel sort of oddly greasy and sticky at the same time. I can only assume it's because of whatever they're made of because they're clearly not cotton. I think, when I take these off tonight, I'll be throwing them away rather than putting them in the laundry. In the meantime, I'm just going to try to remember to keep my hands well away from the dratted things.

Date: 2015-06-26 07:37 pm (UTC)Many years back, Scott's parents gave us a microfiber blanket because they'd read that they were good for people with fibromyalgia. Unfortunately, it very quickly (less than a year) picked up some sort of allergen that we couldn't get rid of, so I couldn't use it because I'd start sneezing and all of that.
