the_rckWe lost power last night about 8 p.m. As of this morning, the power company says we shouldn't expect it back until at least 11 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got most our meat and dairy in our large cooler with a lot of ice. The stuff in the freezer will mostly have to be thrown out, unfortunately. Sadly, we did our weekly grocery shopping yesterday.
We my end up getting a hotel room so that Scott can use his bi-PAP. He has a back-up battery thing for it, but that only lasted two hours last night, so he's completely exhausted.
We went to Bob Evans for breakfast this morning and then to Target for flashlights and a bathing suit for Cordelia. They were out of ice so we stopped at Kroger for that on our way home.
The lack of power also means that I can't ice my bad shoulder which is very frustrating. I was supposed to ice it at least three times a day for four or five days and then apply heat instead thereafter.
I think we have enough clean clothes to get by without doing laundry until Wednesday. Well, Scott and I do. Cordelia probably doesn't. We also will need to hand wash some dishes if we're going to eat anything at home.
If we do get a hotel room, I'll almost certainly have internet and be able to charge my phone. If not, you won't hear from me until at least Wednesday. If you're my remixer and I haven't yet commented, it's almost certainly because I can't get online at all.
We're at the library right now, but I don't expect us to get back here again until next Sunday, and we're even less likely to get to a coffee shop that has internet. My laptop can only last about half an hour on its battery, even if I'm only running one program, so I probably won'y be doing much with my laptop.
