I just got a call from my father. My 90 year old grandmother fell in the backyard and broke her hip. She's having surgery today. I really hope she comes through okay. She's so very old and frail that I worry that she won't. I'm not even sure where she is at the moment. I think the nearest hospital is an hour or two away from where she lives, but that's based on knowing that that's how far my grandfather went for chemo. There might be something closer that just doesn't do chemo. I suppose Google might give me a better idea if I can figure out how to narrow things down properly.
My sister just emailed that she wants to talk, so I'd probably better make sure my phone is charged and call her. I'm just going to put that off for a little bit.
I did no link finding yesterday. Normally, I do about half of my link finding on Monday so that I don't have quite so much to deal with on Tuesday, but I didn't get around to it yesterday because I just didn't feel like I could face it. I'm supposed to post this week, though, so me being late with the links, assuming I don't finish today, won't be inconveniencing anybody but me. Of course, given how much I have to do today, it makes perfect sense that I slept late.
Cordelia has decided that there is one thing on Disney channel that she wants to see-- Girl Meets World. Scott is talking about cutting out cable again (still), and I'm not sure there's a way for Cordelia to keep watching Girl Meets World if we don't have cable. I would also lose my exercise programs (which I haven't done since March) as I'm pretty sure that our antenna wouldn't pick up WCMU. We're mostly not watching TV these days, just The Daily Show and The Nightly Show really, with an occasional episode of Antiques Roadshow (which I can get off the PBS website if I need to).

Date: 2015-07-07 05:18 pm (UTC)The thing is that most Disney channel shows never come out on DVD/Blu-ray or only have certain scattered episodes come out that way. Disney seems to have something against selling seasons of their various TV shows on DVD (the recent ones are available for digital purchase but not otherwise). I have no idea what the problem is, but we've run into it with several different shows.
Our library does belong to an interlibrary loan network but only for books. CDs, DVDs, and books on CD are excluded.
Our library doesn't have any DVDs for either of the exercise programs I follow on TV. I have purchased some DVDs for both, but the DVDs for Sit and Be Fit, the one I should start with as I get back into exercising, aren't episodes of the show and tend not to do the things that the show does or to fit into the same general running time. I think they do sell full seasons of the show on DVD, but they're pretty expensive, so I haven't wanted to take the plunge. Scott thinks I can just use YouTube, but the stuff he's found there under the names of my two shows isn't actually the shows I know.
