I talked to my sister. The genetic test came back entirely clear. Her surgery is scheduled to start at 1:40 tomorrow. She's not entirely clear how long it will take, but she thought at least until 6:00. Mom will call me when it's all over, and I'll call our sister (who will call her mother) and our father (who neither of us would ever ask Mom to talk to).
