Jul. 27th, 2015 08:11 amWe finally changed the sheets last night. Unfortunately, the 'clean' sheets had been sitting in the basket way too long and smell awful. (I'm 90% sure they actually got washed, but I didn't do it personally, so I can't be 100% sure.) I'm going to make Cordelia wash the old sheets today, and then I'll strip the bed so that we have to put new sheets on before bed tonight. Scott can't smell the nastiness because he had his sinuses scraped when he was a kid and has very little sense of smell.
We didn't end up going to the library until after 4:00 yesterday. Scott wanted to go a lot earlier, but I wanted lunch, and Cordelia didn't want to go at all. Scott persuaded her to go by telling her that she'd only get bubble tea if she actually came along. She had two holds, and I had four or five. Cordelia returned about half a dozen books unread.
We finished Son of Neptune last night, too late to return it this week. I suspect that Cordelia's going to want to get Mark of Athena and listen to it the same way. I think she's figured out that it's the most likely way to actually get me through the books.
I haven't gotten any messages on my wallet name Gmail account since about 8:30 last night. This is strange because I'm on a ton of political mailing lists and usually get about ten messages over night. I've checked my spam folder, and it's empty, so it's not that.
Cordelia's friends just arrived. We don't have the snacks they prefer-- goldfish crackers-- because they were too expensive at Kroger this week, $8 for the big box that we wanted. The kids will have to make do with pretzels, at least for today. Scott plans to check at Target on his way home to see if they've got any at a reasonable price.
