I had my second radiation appointment this morning. [livejournal.com profile] evalerie gave me a ride. She picked me up around 11:00 for an 11:20 appointment. I thought I'd have to wait for a while after changing, but a technician was waiting for me when I came out of the changing room. Today's appointment took a little longer than it was scheduled for, but as we started early, we finished a little early anyway. I think it was 11:40 right as I finished getting dressed after. They did more x-rays to try to get my position right. I'm really hoping that that's not a regular feature of the whole thing. The actual treatment is very heavily targeted, but the x-rays seem to be a lot more general.

My sister is certain that my complete exhaustion yesterday was due to anxiety rather than to the radiation. It's certainly possible. I do know that I spent yesterday morning in pain. I thought it was gas that wouldn't pass, but it went away pretty much right when I got in the car to go to my appointment, so I'm inclined to think it was anxiety related.

I may still nap this afternoon. I don't know. I would like to bake a cake, not to eat tonight but to eat tomorrow. I just won't have a chance to bake tomorrow, what with everything going on. Scott's sister is taking me to my appointment which is at 11:40, and I'm hoping to take her to lunch afterward if she has time. My sister is flying in some time during the afternoon. Our brother is driving in from Kalamazoo to pick her up. Her original plan was to rent a car, but she can't drive right now, so she's relying on him. The plan is for us all to have dinner at a Japanese restaurant near here as soon as Scott has gotten home and showered.

My sister and brother have made arrangements to have brunch with a couple of our aunts in Kalamazoo on Saturday. We're invited, but whether or not we go will depend on Scott's schedule. He's expecting to work Sundays for the rest of the month just because he's willing to while everybody else makes a great effort to work Saturday instead.

Last night, I bashed up my left ankle. Months ago, Scott bought a replacement hood to put over the stove. It proved to be beyond his ability to install, so it's been hanging out in our kitchen/dining room for quite a long time. Scott keeps putting it in front of the pantry cupboard because he thinks that nobody uses that. I actually do several times a week, so I have to maneuver around the stupid thing. Last night, I miscalculated, and it came down hard on my leg. I have a raw spot on my shin at ankle level, even through two layers of clothing. I could barely put weight on it for the rest of the evening. I iced it right away, and most of the pain went away over night.

Scott's father came over yesterday. He spent several hours working in our garage. I'm not sure what all he was doing because the major project waited until after my appointment when he had Scott's help. He also didn't tell me when he arrived which surprises me. I wasn't feeling well enough to go out to the garage and say hello the way I should have.

We still haven't made it to the library to pick up my interlibrary loan book. I'm not sure when we'll be able to. Looking at the list of my holds at the library website, I actually have until next Monday, so I guess we don't need to make an extra trip.

I'm sorry about the anxiety. I hope you're able to enjoy the family influx!
