Nov. 15th, 2015 10:23 pmThe skin at the crease under my breast has definitely split. Washing it hurts. Putting aloe on it hurts. Leaving it alone hurts. I keep washing, very carefully, because things don’t smell right and I’m afraid of infection.
Just six more sessions of radiation.
I’m going to ask if we can put gauze in between the plastic cup and my skin at that exact point. I don’t see any reason we couldn’t. If they can put a sheet over me and irradiate me through that, they can certainly do the job with a bit of gauze there.

Hang in there. Some sort of purely neutral, occlusive dressing might help. Aloe has active components. I think I used Badger Balm at one point. Even Vaseline might work.

Date: 2015-11-16 02:13 pm (UTC)I'm more concerned by the odor, actually. Washing with soap (unscented Dove) hasn't helped that, and I worry that it indicates some sort of infection.
