And I have now reached the point when wearing a shirt doesn’t hurt so much that I don’t want to. Now, it itches enough that I don’t want to. I think I’m going to turn up the heat. It’s cold enough outside now that it’s kind of chilly in here, and it’s not like putting on a sweater or a bathrobe or wrapping myself in a blanket will work, either.

The visibly burned area on my breast is a lot smaller than it was. It’s now about the size of a silver dollar. I still have pain, mostly sudden, stabbing pain, around the incision, and the flesh is hard there. The doctors and nurses I’ve seen assure me that that is normal, so I’m not going to worry about it.

I’m still getting very warm at night. We’re keeping the overhead fan on, and I often end up with just a sheet over me or even with nothing over me at all, just the breeze from the fan. Odd that I’d get so warm at night but get chilled during the day when we keep the house cooler at night than we do during the day. I’ve also noticed that, if I lie down during the day, I stay cold, so it’s not the lying down part that does it. It’s apparently some sort of weird, internal clock that says that I will be cold at this time and overly warm at that time.

You are describing how I frequently feel as a symptom of my autoimmune disorder. I've always run hot; always been the girl in short sleeves when everybody else wants a hoodie. I get cold now, all the time, but mostly during the day. At night, I have constant night sweats and hot flashes and end up sleeping with no covers on all night long. It is super weird.

I could have written this comment. I have indeed inherited all my mom's issues. Just waiting to find out I have celiac too. Blergh.

I hope you continue to heal quickly and can find a good temp at night to sleep with.
