Dec. 18th, 2015 12:38 pmAnd I have now reached the point when wearing a shirt doesn’t hurt so much that I don’t want to. Now, it itches enough that I don’t want to. I think I’m going to turn up the heat. It’s cold enough outside now that it’s kind of chilly in here, and it’s not like putting on a sweater or a bathrobe or wrapping myself in a blanket will work, either.
The visibly burned area on my breast is a lot smaller than it was. It’s now about the size of a silver dollar. I still have pain, mostly sudden, stabbing pain, around the incision, and the flesh is hard there. The doctors and nurses I’ve seen assure me that that is normal, so I’m not going to worry about it.
I’m still getting very warm at night. We’re keeping the overhead fan on, and I often end up with just a sheet over me or even with nothing over me at all, just the breeze from the fan. Odd that I’d get so warm at night but get chilled during the day when we keep the house cooler at night than we do during the day. I’ve also noticed that, if I lie down during the day, I stay cold, so it’s not the lying down part that does it. It’s apparently some sort of weird, internal clock that says that I will be cold at this time and overly warm at that time.

Date: 2015-12-19 05:03 pm (UTC)Right now, I'm mostly sleeping with minimal covers and the overhead fan on, but I have to pile bits of blanket on top of my injured breast because it hurts more if I expose it to the breeze from the fan. I really have no idea what's up with that.
