the_rckScott has today and tomorrow off, works Saturday, and has Sunday off. The working Saturday thing is not thrilling, but it’s better than what we could have gotten. He says they were talking about working Saturday and Sunday, having his shift clean and the other two shifts do production.
For some reason, my left foot started to ache pretty badly last night around the time I went to bed. I can’t think of anything I did to it because, really, I didn’t do much of anything yesterday— I emptied the dishwasher, and I made lunch. It ached all night and got worse after I got up to take my thyroid medication at 5:00. I tried wrapping it in an Ace bandage, but that made the dratted thing hurt more and made walking difficult because of the wad of bandage under the arch of my foot. I wish I knew what was going on with that. The pain is mostly on the top of my foot, over the arch and the ball, so that, if I can walk without bending my foot at all, walking doesn’t hurt much. My heel and toes are fine.
I discovered that I have no clean pants when I went to get dressed. I thought I had one pair left that was clean but apparently not. Everything’s in the wash now, and I think it should be dry before anyone arrives today (Cordelia’s friend and the cleaning lady are both due here around 2:00, but the cleaning lady might come as early as 1:00).
I need to see about prompting Cordelia to eat something soon. She’s been sleeping until 11:00 and then not wanting to eat breakfast because it’s too late or lunch because it’s too early. Fortunately, while school is in session, she reliably eats both breakfast and lunch.
