Feb. 16th, 2016 11:47 amWe were supposed to pick up some copier paper boxes from downtown last night, and I completely spaced on it. Scott did, too, but he was always less likely to remember than I was. I’m not sure he’d have been willing to go to get them given that I haven’t filled all of the other boxes we have. I have four small boxes empty, and three boxes partially filled. Those last all need books of specific sizes to fill them, and I don’t know if that’s going to happen.
Books By Chance got back to me. They’re on vacation this week but are willing to arrange a pickup some time next week. They didn’t answer any of my questions which is frustrating. Some of them would take time, and I’m not worried about those. I’m not convinced, however, that it would have been much trouble to answer my question about whether or not they prefer the boxes to be taped shut or my question about where they usually donate the books that they don’t want.
In absence of instructions, I’m taping the boxes shut. Scott wants me to move them into the study, but that involves getting them past some piles of debris. I think putting them in the basement would be easier, but, as Scott pointed out, that means bringing them back up again. I’m not sure how many I could bring up in a single day. I took one box down to the basement before I talked things over with Scott.
I really need to get myself back to writing, but I don’t think that’s going to happen today because I’ve got PT at 1:00. That’s going to take most of my energy for the day. Right at the moment, I want very badly to nap. I didn’t sleep all that well last night— I was restless and too warm. I think I also need to find some protein, but the kind that works best for me is more of a challenge. I really, really wish I could have eggs or that almonds or cheese gave me the boost that, say, a piece of chicken does.
