the_rckI slept until 11:30 this morning, and I’m still dragging horribly. If it wasn’t Thursday (cleaning lady day), I’d probably go back to bed. I obviously need sleep. The exhaustion is the main sign that I’m still sick. I’m still coughing some, but mainly, it’s tiredness. I can’t even really focus enough to watch TV. It’s been more than fourteen hours since I took the cough medicine at bedtime last night, but I feel like it’s only been an hour. I don’t usually get that kind of hangover from the stuff, so I don’t think it’s that. Who knows?
I got three boxes packed for shipping last night. One of them, I may have to unpack because I stuffed the corners with trash bags that are scented with Febreze. I kind of gag on the odor, and I need to find out if the person I’m shipping to will have problems with it. The trash bags aren’t actually useful as trash bags because they tear if you touch them at all, so I don’t mind using a bunch of them for packing material, but wow, do they stink.
I have four books I haven’t packed yet, two singletons and two other books going to the same person. I’d like to find a box to put the two books in, but I don’t think that’s going to happen, so they’re likely going into two separate padded envelopes. I’m waiting for an address on one of the singletons.
I have a load of laundry washing, and I’ve done some of the dishes. I still need to clean up the debris on the kitchen counters and move the books off the living room floor. If I don’t move the books, our cleaning lady will pile them with the things I want to get rid of, and then I’ll have to sort things out anyway. The counters… Well, mainly, I want to find all the little bits of plastic that should go in the trash because the cleaning lady will put those down the garbage disposal if I don’t.

booniverse and cherydactyl over for a couple of hours last night. We didn’t play any games. We just hung out around our dining room table and talked. Scott did have to work late, but he was able to join us by 8:00. It was really wonderful to see someone who wasn’t Scott or Cordelia or a medical person. I wasn’t able to contribute much to the conversation because my brain was AWOL, but I enjoyed having company.
