There’s something off about the clock on my laptop. It’s a bit more than two minutes faster than the time according to my cell phone and our DVR. When I first noticed the problem, last month, it was only about a minute and a half fast, so it’s getting more off from the right time as the days pass. I have no idea what this means or if it’s something I need to try to fix. I suppose this is something for Google.

The CD/DVD drive on Cordelia’s laptop is acting squirrely. It’ll play some things just fine but glitches horribly on others (and those others play just fine elsewhere). Cordelia watches a lot of DVDs in her room, on her laptop, so she’s not at all pleased. Scott says there’s nothing he can do.

Cordelia went to see Zootopia last night with a group of friends from her school. It sounds like there were about six of them, two girls and four boys, no adults. Scott drove Cordelia over to the other girl’s house, and her parents drove them both to the theater and then, later, brought Cordelia home again.

Scott got food from the Syrian place for dinner. We’ve been trying to do that for about three weeks, off and on, but Scott has kept finding it closed in spite of the posted hours saying it should be open. I had a spinach and feta pie (regular pie dough sort of thing, not phyllo). It gave me some trouble later on because it had some sort of acidic flavor, probably lemon.

I put new laces into my snow boots. Unfortunately, the laces are a lot too long because Scott, not knowing what I needed, bought the longest he could find. Even double knotted, the ends drag on the ground, so I’ll have to have him pick up shorter laces. We had to cut the old laces in order to get them out of the teeny loops because they’d abraded to the point where there were large fuzzy bits that really couldn’t fit through any loops and had gotten swollen from getting wet repeatedly over the years I used them.

Scott and I went out to the bank and the post office this morning. We were going to do the groceries after that, but I realized in the bank that I really, really couldn’t stay on my feet that long, so Scott brought me home and went to do the groceries on his own. It’s really very frustrating because I keep thinking that I’m doing so much better, and I’m really not. On the plus side, I slept without needing a cough suppressant last night, so I guess that’s something.

I’m now debating lying down for a nap versus making more coffee versus trying to find something with a lot of protein to eat for lunch. I kind of ought to be up when Scott gets home with the groceries, so food and/or coffee is probably the way to go. I don’t think Scott will be more than another twenty minutes.

The time thing might be the battery... our previous one started going slower and our little computer repair shop explained it and fixed it.

What did Cordelia think of Zootopia? L has been bugging me to go see it in theaters, but it seems more like a watch-on-DVD movie to me... (She points out I said the same thing about Big Hero Six and Inside Out, and ended up loving both movies a lot. But I still think it was fine to watch them on DVD from Redbox rather than in theaters right away...)

Thank you! It's good to know she really enjoyed it, despite not liking watching things at the theater.
