Scott and I ended up not turning off our light until 1 a.m. I have no idea why we did that. We were both exhausted, and I was rereading a book, and he was rewatching YouTube videos. We ended up sleeping in until around 11. That’s later than I like because it throws off my meal and medication schedule. (It doesn’t entirely matter when I take my morning dose of Wellbutrin, but I have to take the next one about four hours later, and my doctor doesn’t want me taking that after about 3 because she’s afraid it will keep me awake when I go to bed at 10:30 or 11. I doubt it will given that I can nap after taking the morning dose, but… whatever.)

Part of staying up so late was that Disney Channel had a couple of episodes of Star Wars: Rebels that we hadn’t seen, and we stayed up for those because we didn’t trust the DVR. The episodes were fun. I’m not sure that I shouldn’t have skipped the second one and gone to bed. The library got all of season one on DVD, so I’m hopeful that they’ll get season two that way.

We watched Girl Meets World earlier in the evening. Cordelia still likes the show a lot, but even she is getting irritated by the love triangle. I mean, the kids are being as mature as thirteen year olds are ever likely to be, more so actually. It’s just that the romance is kind of a distraction from the parts of the show that interest us. And I’m kind of in the camp of thinking that Riley/Maya would be better than either of the het pairings. Just maybe not at age 13.

I managed to wash and dry a load of laundry yesterday and load and run the dishwasher. Today, I emptied the dishwasher, put away my laundry, and baked Scott’s birthday cake. He decided yesterday that he’s well enough to appreciate the cake now (his birthday was 24 February, but he was very sick that day).

Scott had somehow managed to convince himself that he could work the day before his colonoscopy. Now that I’ve pointed out that he really, really can’t, he’s even less enthusiastic about the whole thing. Work gave him a reprimand and 'first warning' over the sick day he took in February because he took it two weeks before he was allowed another sick day. They told him that it should have been a reprimand and 'final warning' but that they took pity on him because he was so close to having a new one. But he’s going to need three days in April and one day this month for medical appointments. He’s hoping to use vacation days, but it’s quite possible that they won’t give him those particular days.

I sorted my stories on AO3 by word count, and once I put aside Rheotaxis which is nearly 200000 word but still a WIP, I’ve written four stories longer than the 7500 word minimum for [livejournal.com profile] wipbigbang. That’s out of fifty five posted stories. Two of them, the longest two at 16500 and 12000 words, are things I needed extensions for, but even with the extensions, the writing period was less than the WIP Big Bang allows. The shortest of the four, at a bit over 8000 words, was written for an exchange and finished on a deadline of about a month’s writing time. The last of the four stories, I can’t remember how long it took me to write because I wrote it entirely independent of exchanges/challenges and deadlines. I might have taken days. I might have taken months. I’m about 95% sure I didn’t take years, but I just don’t remember.

At the other end, I’ve written six stories of less than 1000 words (three of those less than 500 words). Then there are ten stories between 1000 and 2000 words. I’m pretty sure that between 1000 and 6500 words is my general natural length. There are two stories between 6500 and 7500 words, so it doesn’t seem to be a length I’m apt to write.

I need to watch some of Season 2 of Rebels. I checked out Season 1 from the library and watched it in a day, really liked it. But we don't have cable so I either have to wait or...acquire it. And I really want to be able to talk about it with my Star Wars club!

The entire Phineas and Ferb series is now on Netflix, we just finished it up last month **cries** I am going to miss those boys...and girls...and Perry!

yeah, I can't justify the cost of cable anymore, I just don't watch TV live, don't have time! or when i do have time, I do other things!

Good luck on your writing. I admire people that can and good luck with the big bang. I am often participating in big bangs but only as artist since I lack in the writing skill area. :P Hope the colonoscopy turns out ok. Had one of those before and which was even sadder is the fact the doctor that did it was a friend of mine. So it was awkward to say the least. At least he never teased me about it later.

I sometimes get reading/writing and after a while glance at the clock... and it's 2 a m :(

That's a goodly amount of writing! More than I've managed all year...

What kind of sick society do we live in where you get reprimanded for being ILL. It makes me so angry.

There's this crazy formula they use (over here, anyway) where they assume taking one or two days off now and then is some kind of malingering. They'd rather you carry on and make yourself REALLY ILL - it makes no sense.

I love Girl Meets World. It's so cute!
I do find the Riley/Maya/Lucas triangle frustrating though.

Colonoscopy planning: one strategy which was suggested to me was to insist on scheduling the exam for Monday, so your day-before is Sunday, presuming that is one's day off.

I really enjoy Girl Meets World, there's so much more depth to the characters, etc, than in your typical Disney Channel show (guess I shouldn't be surprised though, because BIG FAN of the original <3 <3 <3 )

What fandoms do you write for? :) I'm trying to get motivated and back into writing after being away from fandom basically for the last several months :P
