So far as I know, only one of the packages we mailed at the beginning of the month has arrived. The tracking for two of the others claims they have been delivered and were 'left on the porch.' I hope that those ended up where they were supposed to and didn’t get stolen.

Another one, the biggest one which contained about 27 books, seems to be lost. Tracking shows it leaving some place in Pennsylvania on the 6th, but there’s no record of it ever arriving anywhere. I’ve sent in a query about it, but the form was thoroughly frustrating because it kept resetting certain fields no matter how many times I went back and edited. Apparently, it’s not possible to submit a form while saying that one has not reported the problem to the police. The list of possible package contents includes a bunch of specifics and 'unknown' but not 'other.' Books are not on the list of possibilities.

I can’t find the tracking numbers for the other two packages, the two going to [livejournal.com profile] carbonel. I thought I saved those, but if I did, I put them somewhere so safe that I can’t find them any more.

Scott and Cordelia went grocery shopping at about 8:30 last night while I was lying down and trying to get over a headache (lying down for an hour, combined with Tylenol, did help). I don’t think it was a migraine, given that Tylenol helped, but I was photo-sensitive, so I’m not sure.

I wanted to go to bed relatively early, but Scott put on things that I wanted to watch in spite of me saying things like, "I think I’m going to crash soon." I finally had to say, "As soon as this is over, I’m going to bed." That worked except that Cordelia decided she had to get ready before I did (she won’t share the bathroom), so I had to sit in the living room and wait for another fifteen minutes.

Cordelia has been complaining about her tummy hurting, but she can’t manage to be specific about what part. She also says she can’t remember if taking ibuprofen helped or didn’t or made things worse. I was thinking it was cramps because the timing seemed right, but she says the tummy pain started before that, days before, so I really don’t know. I thought this part would get easier now that we can talk to each other and explain things but apparently not.

Scott and I both wanted to sleep later than we did this morning, but our bodies didn’t cooperate. We ended up not exactly awake but still completely unable to sleep. I gave myself some trouble last night because I had a half-waking dream in which it was really urgent that I dump my blankets off the side of the bed. Then, of course, I got very cold and was asleep enough not to make the connection.

The business with the packages sounds very frustrating.

i push the covers off all the time and the mister happily sleep hoards them all.

If the packages were sent by media mail, those occasionally do go wandering all over the country before arriving at their destination.

Cramps can start quite a few days ahead, even five, so maybe it is that? Dunno.

Your comment about how your dream made you feel it was really urgent to dump your blankets off the bed made me laugh. :)

Ibuprofen should work well for cramps, because it reduces swelling. Tylenol doesn't reduce swelling, so I don't think it should work as well. Unless the stomach ache is something else. Ibuprofen itself gives me a stomach ache, so ibuprofen wouldn't be a good way to solve that. :-P

I'm sorry to hear about all the trouble you're having with the packages. That sucks. I hope everything works out.

Both packages for me -- the Judy Bolton books -- arrived safely, on two different days. I meant to send a PM telling you so, but apparently I failed.

Apologies for that, and thanks for the books.
