Kids' CDs to give away
Jun. 6th, 2016 04:26 pmI found a handful of unlabeled CD-Rs in Cordelia’s room. Two are blank, as far as I can tell, but my drive only offered to format one of them, so who knows. The third crashed my laptop, so I threw it out. That may be extreme, but I really can’t imagine what might be on it that might be worth fighting to retrieve. I haven’t checked the others because I haven’t felt like dealing with it if they, too, crash my laptop.
I also found some empty cardboard boxes shoved in Cordelia’s closet. Those are going into the recycling. I can’t see any reason to keep them. The empty gift bags in the closet are going into the cupboard where we keep such things.
I have the following CDs to give away:
Veggie Tales. And Now It’s Time for Silly Songs with Larry.
The World Sings Goodnight. (Collection of lullabies from all over the world. Apparently originally sold as an Amnesty International fundraiser.)
Leapfrog. Learning Songs: Songs from the Letter Factory and the Talking Words Factory videos +4 More Songs.
Sesame Street. The Count Counts. (A friend owns the LP and made a CD of this for us when Cordelia was quite small.)
Baby’s First Fairy Tales. (This ought to be a two CD set with Baby’s First Animal Songs, but I haven’t found that one yet. The fairy tales are Hansel and Gretel, The Three Little Pigs, Beauty and the Beast, Rumpelstiltskin, Sleeping Beauty, and Aladdin.)
The following have no cases that I can find. I have several of the cheap cases empty, so I can put them in those if you’d like.
Baby’s First Lullabies.
The Lion King Soundtrack.
The Chenille Sisters. The BIG Picture and other songs for kids.
Osborne, Mary Pope. The Magic Treehouse. Stage Fright on a Summer Night. (I think this was a fast food kids’ meal giveaway, but it’s the whole book.)
Mouse Cookies & More: A Treasury. (This came with a book that we gave away years ago, and a stuffed mouse that vanished before Cordelia turned five. I couldn’t find the CD at the time. It’s got four books in the Mouse Cookie sequence read by different people and several accompanying songs.)
I’m sure there will be more CDs later on, and it’s not likely that I can get to the post office this week. Going next week might happen, but I can’t promise.
