Nov. 10th, 2011 05:23 pmOne bit of good news for me-- I decided to test to see whether or not I was allergic to almonds, and I don't seem to be. I took the chance because I'd read that some people who are allergic to other nuts aren't allergic to almonds, because my mother, who thought she was allergic to all tree nuts, has discovered that she's only allergic to walnuts and because my allergy is mild at its worst (just a little mouth itchiness.
It's really good to have almonds back.

Date: 2011-11-11 08:14 pm (UTC)I'm second guessing myself on the almonds-- What if I'm reacting and not noticing it? I desperately want almonds. They're a wonderful snack. A baggy of almonds can be carried in my purse for months, waiting for me to need a protein pick me up while I'm out of the house. I haven't found anything else that works as well. (Beef jerky has some good qualities, but Scott is deathly allergic to beef.)
