I have changed my email address in a few different places and confirmed that the email address being used as our login for DTE is one of Scott’s Gmail addresses. Yahoo groups gave me a bit of a hard time because the things I needed to click on weren’t very obvious to me and because it didn’t always respond promptly (or at all) when I tried to click on things. I’m a little puzzled by the fact that changing one’s main address with Yahoo doesn’t change one’s address with the subsidiary services one uses there. I had to go to each group I’m part of and change the address even though I’d changed the main address months ago. LJ was difficult because either it was crawling or Chrome was. I considered not changing those email addresses because I haven’t done anything with those rp accounts in about seven years, but I’d like to keep access, just in case. Maybe I’ll repurpose the accounts for something at some point. Or not.

Basically, I’ve just got Netflix and my Discover card account left in terms of things I know use the Earthlink address. As far as Netflix goes, I think that, given that Cordelia is thirteen, using her Gmail address for her login on Netflix is a reasonable solution. I’m currently using my Gmail for her login and my Earthlink for my login, so I’ll have to change both accounts.

Scott grabbed a couple of things at the grocery store without making sure that he was getting what he actually wanted. He got OJ with pulp which he hates and I’m not enthusiastic about, and he got lactose free ice cream. I have no idea how lactose free ice cream tastes, but I rather suspect that it cost a good bit more than a similarly sized carton of the regular stuff would. Since no one in the household actually has problems with lactose, I’m not convinced that that’s money well spent. Scott has confirmed that it was unintentional.

I didn’t do any writing yesterday or get much of anything else done, either. I really don’t know where the day went. I’m debating trying to write right now versus dishes and cleaning the fridge. It probably says something that I’m leaning toward the latter. So far today, I’ve showered and done some research on city council candidates (to be posted separately so that I can link Scott to it). That’s a lot less than I’d like, given that I’ve been up for four hours.

I’m debating whether or not to go on with a six DVD set that I got from the library that’s focused, at least according to the title, on British history (and, according to the blurb from 3100 B.C. to 1965 CE). The first DVD gives me the impression that what they’re actually covering is English history which is different. The first hour covered everything up to the arrival of the Anglo-Saxons. The second hour went from there to the death of William the Conqueror. That rather skipped over a lot of stuff I’d have loved to hear more about, even if it was mostly speculation. The third episode was Henry II through John. Looking at the episode titles, I think that the series may skew heavily toward things after the Stuarts.
