Two people where Scott works have quit, one on second shift and one on third. This means more overtime, both staying late and going in early. At this point, Scott expects to work both days this weekend with no promise of a day off next weekend, either. I have no idea when the grocery shopping is going to happen because we didn’t end up doing it tonight.

Cordelia found someone else to give her a ride home tonight, so Scott’s in bed already. I don’t think he’s asleep yet because he’s still visible online. I need to stay up at least until she gets home. I’d kind of like to crash soon, though, so I’m hoping she won’t be out too late. It’ll be at least one more hour. I can do that, right?

I don't know if you have this as an option but when my husband was still working 60 hour weeks and I was having trouble walking, we had groceries delivered once a week. I still do occasionally, if I can't manage it and he's not feeling well. There was a small delivery charge but it was well worth the six dollars.

Delivery isn't an option from either nearby (within 3 miles) grocery store. One of them, the one with the poorer selection and higher prices, will pull things from the shelves for pick up for an added fee. We did that once last fall and ran into problems with my husband not being able to get there during the specified pick up window. We were able to set that, but we didn't know when he'd be available.

I will ask Scott, though, if he thinks doing that might be worthwhile this week. He'll still have to stop at our usual store because I have a prescription there, but that takes a lot less time.
