the_rckI’ve made the sandwiches, and the potatoes are in the pressure cooker.
Two loads of laundry are completely done. I put away some of that stuff and gave the rest to Cordelia in the hope that she will put the sheets on her bed. There’s a load in the dryer, a load in the washer, and a load waiting to be washed.
I’m not sure I will get to the pork shoulder today. I’d rather do it today so that I don’t have to do it while our cleaning lady is here tomorrow (she will clean the kitchen counters which would be really nice after I work with raw meat on them. I’ll clean as well as I can, but she’s more thorough than I am), but I don’t know if I’ll manage it.
It’s not clear whether or not we actually will have friends over tonight. I would like some social time, but I also very badly want to go to bed early if it’s possible. I have no idea how Cordelia will do tonight. If she doesn’t sleep, I don’t sleep.
I’ve written one paragraph. I’d like to manage more, but at least it’s a little bit done. I am so very seriously tempted to just stop this story where it is even though nothing has been resolved. I’m not sure that anything can be resolved in a reasonable space, not without going way out of character for my POV character.
