I very much want a nap. I’ve tried more caffeine and food to see if that will help. I’ve got one three step chore and one two step chore that need doing. I might be able to get Scott to help with the three step chore and turn it into one step. I don’t know. I also have those Social Security forms and short writing project due Monday. That last is for the letter exchange. I’m going to need to mail that from the post office because my letter partner is in Canada, and Monday is really the only chance I’m going to have before the deadline.
Tuesday, I want to give priority to cleaning out the refrigerator. I was going to say Monday, but I have to go out on Monday, and I don’t see being able to do anything else that day. I want to do more laundry tomorrow, so I don’t think that cleaning the refrigerator will happen. Also, trash goes out on Tuesday, so it’s a good time to dump spoiled leftovers.
Scott bought some chicken legs that we will cook tonight. I’m not sure what he was thinking, though. He said it will give us some variety from the pulled pork, but he knows that I don’t eat chicken legs if I have another option.
Scott’s currently trying out some of the smoothie packages we’ve had in the freezer for more than a year. (I think they must have been on sale. He bought at least six of them.) Neither Cordelia nor I are willing to do the work to make the dratted things. I don’t think they taste very good, and I don’t like the texture most of the time. Cordelia just doesn’t want to have to wash the mixer. I mean, I don’t either, but I also don’t enjoy the product, so I don’t get anything for the work.
He tried changing the lightbulbs in the basement fixtures that weren’t working, and that did the trick. Both lights now work. He’s annoyed because those bulbs were supposed to last for years (the packaging said nine) and didn’t. It’s just as well that I didn’t try changing the bulbs. According to Scott the ones I took downstairs were wrong for those fixtures. They were just the only ones I could find because he stores them high enough up that I can’t see much even when I’m on top of the step stool.
Cordelia’s focusing on her homework today. She was busy all yesterday afternoon and evening and will be again most of the day tomorrow, so she wants to get it all done today. I think it’s mostly that she’s supposed to read half an hour a day, but I didn’t ask for details. She’s very good about staying on top of her work without prompting. (I’m so very, very lucky on that count!)
