Damn. Twenty five minutes of running the water in the basement, and it’s still brown. The city website recommends fifteen minutes and then letting them know if things don’t clear. I ran the water in both sinks down there. The laundry sink is brown but has greater flow capacity. The bathroom sink is white. I mainly ran that so that I could see if the brown started to go away.

Part of me feels like I should have run things longer, but I’m not sure what longer would do (apart from delaying when I need to make the phone call to the city).

I don’t think I’m going to get to the school today. Standing and watching the water run has done me in physically. It’ll be several hours before I can do more in that direction, and the school office is only open another two hours.

What's happened to make the water brown in the first place?

Ugh, that sucks. Good luck talking with the City, cause it sounds like they need to do something...

I hope you can get some restful rest. Take care.
