Sep. 5th, 2002 01:56 pmMy mother and step-father have managed to sell their house in Knoxville. It seems like a bit of a waste to me-- It was purchased by a man who plans to live there alone with his dog. The house has four large bedrooms and three full bathrooms (two tubs, one shower). I suspect that the two of them will get lost in it.
Sadly, the purchaser wanted the rug I'd asked for, and Mom gave it to him. I'm still a little grumpy about that, but there's damn all I can do about it. I did get some of the decorative stuff, the brass rubbings Mom made on her trip to Europe when I was six and a few other things. Mom says she may come north with more stuff later this fall. I'm not counting on it, but I am hoping.
Scott's parents have given us a rocking loveseat and a matching rocking chair. Those are currently residing in the basement. We'll be placing them permanently after we rehang the mirror that we removed to put in the shelves and get rid of the bar. I spent time last week painting some boards so that we can finish work in the basement and try to get it organized. I even got the trim decorated.
