the_rckI'm currently working on a rewrite of the Weiss fic I've been working on. I've gotten about the first 20 pages reworked. I considered waiting until I finished the whole thing, but I don't know when I'll get there (especially since I don't know exactly where "there" is!). I'm taking the time to think about what happens next in the plot, and I think my work's benefiting from it. I woke up the other day knowing exactly the rhythm of a particular character's actions over the next few days.
I've joined the Weiss Kreuz yaoi list in hopes of finding an eventual audience for this fic. So far, the list has been extremely low traffic (I tend to measure such things by how The Cauldron used to be) which frustrates me a little as I'd like to lurk for a while to figure out the etiquette and conventions. I have introduced myself, and I've gotten one person to talk to me off-list, but I'm not sure she can answer my questions since she does drawings/paintings rather than writing.
I also have gotten LunarGeography to watch up through episode 15 of the anime. Episodes 16-20 are out, but we haven't had time to try to rent them yet. She refers to my interest in the series as "a guilty pleasure," and I suppose I have to agree. The plot's as full of holes as an old sponge, and the animation varies rather wildly in quality. But I'm still having fun. I suppose that's the really important part.
