Oct. 11th, 2002 01:18 pmI've been reading more about Italy in the 1930s but haven't found anything that I can hang a solid plot on. As far as I can tell, Mussolini must have been a lunatic of some sort because he doesn't seem to have understood much about consequences or about keeping in mind the truth that he used propaganda to conceal. Looking at him from the White Wolf point of view... Whoever was backing him was either crazy, playing a big joke or had a reason to wreck Italy.
The players in that campaign have now ventured forth to interact with people in their new time. We didn't get as far as I'd hoped because I was introducing a new player to the game and ended up both starting late and ending early. I've been kind of perpetually exhausted during the last few weeks and so have been sleeping more and running out of energy earlier than I expect.
My Wednesday Amber campaign has been continuing fairly normally. I just introduced a largish group of npcs, and the player characters are busy getting to know them. Drew has been pushing along with a character agenda which surprised me a little since he hasn't previously done anything of the sort. I'm very pleased by it because it's just what the campaign needs from him at the moment. His character's in a precarious political situation (He officially switched sides during a civil war but is still really working for the person who originally held his allegiance. The side he's officially working for currently has the upper hand, but more and more people are finding out about his real affiliation. Eventually, that's going to get him into trouble). LunarGeography's sending her character deeper into mental breakdown, even making plans for playing her with a fragmented personality. I'm curious to see how that will go.
My Saturday Amber campaign is still on hiatus. We haven't been able to find a Saturday yet when all three players are available. There may be one in November, if we're lucky, but I think it'll only be one because of UCon and Thanksgiving. I'm sort of wondering if it's worth the effort right now, but then I realize how bored I get on the Saturday afternoons when I would normally be running that campaign.
