Saturday afternoon, Scott ran his Traveller game. It was a fairly laid back session as our characters cleaned up loose ends from their previous big assignment/confrontation and received instructions on their next job. We're supposed to have a new player, Wheloc, joining us soon, and Scott's worked his character in already. It's a little awkward because we can't do much of anything with him until the player actually shows up, but we can't leave him behind because the player could show up next session (or the one after that...)

I got in some more work on the afghan, and I'm really starting to think that I may not have bought enough yarn. I can get about 5 rows out of a skein because of how wide I've made the afghan (I want it to be big enough to cover both me and Scott if we're sitting next to each on the couch). I'm in the middle of the third skein and haven't even gotten it as long as my hand yet. Fortunately, the yarn's variable in color, so dye lots shouldn't be quite as important as if it were solid.

In the evening, we had a small party. Ogham was back in town for Thanksgiving, and we all wanted to see him. We didn't press him a lot for details of life in College Park which perhaps we should have done, but he seemed content to talk of other things. The refreshments were potluck, and we (naturally) ended up with more food than we could eat and more pop than we could drink. We started the evening with Legend of the Drunken Master running in the background but turned off the tv when that ended. A lot of the conversation centered around gaming, and I don't think there was anyone in the crowd who was too bored by that.
