Dec. 1st, 2002 03:20 pmOne of the guys who played in my LARP at UCon has asked me if I have any table top games with openings. I haven't answered him yet. I need to make some decisions about my Saturday Amber campaign. I could pick it up again in January, but... It would be the first game I'd drop if the pregnancy's too exhausting, and I expect I'll be dropping all of them for at least a while after the baby's born. I've got three great players, and the world seems to have an interesting texture, but with only three players, I'm reluctant to run if even one of them can't be there. I'd like to add a fourth player, but the interactions are rather complicated. I don't know this guy who's asked well enough to have any notion if he'd fit in or if he'd be freaked by the other characters or...
I'm finally caught up on Buffy episodes. Laura (from my Wednesday game) managed to get a copy of "Conversations with Dead People" (or whatever it's actually called) as a computer file and shared it with everybody she knew who was interested. I'm still annoyed with our local UPN affiliate, though. Apparently what the scheduling glitch comes down to is that they had a wrestling program on after Buffy and both possible Sunday time slots made the wrestling conflict with football on other channels. Why they had to keep Buffy and the wrestling together...
If I hadn't seen the UPN commercials for the Star Trek movies they'll be showing this month, I wouldn't believe it. They've rewritten "Deck the Halls" as an ad. It's just so... Wrong. The first time Scott and I saw it, we couldn't believe it. The second time, we just shook our heads and laughed. At least they're airing something funny.
