Feb. 28th, 2003 09:54 amMy plans for this morning have more or less gotten derailed. I was going to go and deal with the gestational diabetes test. I changed my mind when I almost lost my breakfast. Somehow, going and drinking something that promotes nausea when my stomach's not calm anyway, seems like a bad idea. (I don't think what I'm experiencing is serious. It's just that any stray thought can, at the moment, make my body think that I've just eaten something bad even when I haven't.) Oh, well, I'll go in Monday morning.
My wrists and ankles have been swelling recently. I've been taking time during the day to put my feet up to relieve that pressure. It's a bit of a challenge because I'm also trying to keep my torso as upright as possible to fight the increasing trouble I'm having with acid reflux (yesterday even water gave me problems!). At the moment, I'm dealing with my wrists by using compression so that I can type without too much trouble, but I plan to do some elevation there too (Much, much easier to get my arms above the level of my heart even while sitting than to get my feet there). I'm also working on keeping up my fluid levels since, counterintuitive as it may be, taking in more water is supposed to help ease the water retention.
