I have finally made a doctor's appointment and a dental appointment. I have to wait for a while for both which surprises me more on the dental appointment. I am after all dealing with a filling that's fallen out. Admittedly, I told them that nothing hurt, but they have no way of knowing that it's in a spot that won't have further decay (since it wasn't put in to deal with decay to begin with).

As to the doctor's appointment, I discovered that my primary care doctor has been on family leave since shortly after I saw her last (September or October, I think). They're not sure when she'll be back, so I suspect that someone must be dying or, perhaps, recently and severely disabled. I requested an appointment with another doctor who has openings to take on permanent patients because I'd rather not float in limbo waiting for my original doctor to come back. I'll probably look into switching to someone that Scott's insurance lists; it's been worth paying the out of plan fees in order to stay with the doctor I've been seeing for years, but... If I have to switch anyway, I think I should at least look into a full change. I just will miss the ease of using the clinic. They have walk-in appointments and a sufficiently large number of clinicians (mostly nurse practitioners and physicians' assistants) that anything urgent can be looked at fairly quickly. The clinic's also right on the bus line for one of the buses that passes near my house. I'll probably end up looking to see if there's anybody at Taubman taking new patients; if I can find somebody with experience in fibromyalgia, that'll be a bonus.
