Mar. 9th, 2003 08:00 pmThere hasn't been much to my life during the last few days but my cold. Scott and I both canceled our Saturday games. I canceled mine on Friday when it became absolutely clear to me that I wasn't going to be able to GM coherently. Scott canceled his Saturday morning after I threw up again and informed him that there was no hope that I'd be up to playing either. (I felt bad about that because we've had to put off this session a couple of times, and he's got amusing plans. Most of us have gone in together to plan a surprise for one of the other players (and for his character). I was also going to bake a birthday cake for Scott. His birthday was two weeks ago, but we wanted to wait on the cake until we knew we'd have other people around to eat it. Two more weeks... We'll only be a month late then.)
Of course, Scott did go on to get some things done. He got rid of the two old sinks and the old toilet and bought a lot of the stuff we're going to need for working on the spare room. He did some laundry and some grocery shopping. He replaced the VCR that somehow got fried when my mother was trying to figure out which circuit the bathroom light was on (She had to flip every single one of them). The old one will still play and will record if we're there to start it and stop it, but it can no longer be programmed. Basically, it's fine up until the moment when it ought to start and then suddenly changes its mind about what day it is and pops up with an error message. We played with the stupid thing but haven't been able to figure out what's going wrong. The date's right everywhere and even programs correctly. It just suddenly alters in the programming for no reason we can find.
