I've fallen way behind on writing about my daughter again. I just keep finding my brain too scattered for writing. Scott and I are still thoroughly besotted with Delia. The other night, Scott looked at me and asked, "What did we talk about before she was born?" We both laughed, but it's true-- We don't talk about much else. My mother says that's why many people find new parents tedious.

On Thursday, June 26th, my friend Judy visited briefly. She took the bus from campus and came to meet Delia. Judy brought a sundress and some white knit stuff (made by her mother) as gifts. After she left, Scott and I got carry out from Red Lobster for our anniversary dinner and then ate in shifts, taking turns holding and bouncing Delia who was being fussy.

That Saturday, Scott's aunt and uncle came up from South Bend. We spent the afternoon at Scott's parents' place so that Aunt Sharon could meet the baby. (Uncle Bob did the courtesy look then largely ignored her.) Aunt Sharon went on to tell us horror stories about babies that never sleep and the like. I'd thought we'd gotten past the worst of the "my experience was so bad" stuff by getting through labor but apparently not. Ah, well...
