the_rckMy fic writing is moving forward in fits and starts. I'll work steadily for a few days, getting in at least the minimum 100 words. Then I miss a day or three and wonder where the time went. I've been working on more revisions to part 8, trying to make certain things clearer to the reader. I understated some things because I didn't want to get entangled in Schuldig's actions and thought processes. I've been trying to add more indications of what's going on without getting bogged down. I also finally finished both the scene with Yohji, Ken and Nagi and the older scene that my computer ate weeks ago. That leaves me with only one scene that I'm in the middle of, and I expect that one to go on for quite a while.
There's another scene that I'm mentally working on. I know I need it, and I've got some idea of how it will run, but... I need a good reason for it to happen. Part of the set up requires some of the characters to make decisions that don't currently quite make sense to me. If I can't find a way to make the interaction happen naturally, I may have to throw it out which will mean reworking the flow of the plot thereafter. I want that scene. It'll be a good one, very difficult for the characters involved and laying the groundwork for the eventual end of things, but... Nagi's not cooperating. He's not even in the blasted thing, but it's not going to happen if he doesn't want it to.
