Saturday, Scott and I went to Best Buy. He wanted to look at camcorders, and I figured that getting out was good for me and for Delia (she seemed to enjoy the trip to UHS. I think she needs to get out and see new places, the whole visual stimulation thing). She fell asleep in the stroller, so we had an easy time at Best Buy.

I browsed the anime DVDs and ended up grabbing several. I got Spirited Away, the Cowboy Bebop movie, Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, Read or Die and the first volume of Saiyuki. I also found a cheap copy ($7) of Charade that I decided was worth getting even though I have a VHS copy already. I considered trying the first volume of Fruits Basket since I've heard good things about it, but I couldn't justify it since I was already trying to pare down the stack I'd pulled from the shelves. $30 is a big gamble.

We didn't do much on Sunday. Scott and I considered taking Delia on the grocery shopping trip, but she was grouchy, so Scott went alone while I watched Saiyuki and tried to keep Delia happy. I liked Saiyuki enough that I'll probably pick up the rest of it eventually. I don't think any of my local friends have it.

Fruits Basket is WONDERFULLY SUBLIME for episodes 1-23. Then it becomes STUPIDHEAD PRODUCTION. >.< The plot resolution is moronic, I ended up wanting to smack the heroine, and really, the random twist at the end which had NO RATIONAL WHATSOEVER? Annoying.

I would recommend buying the first three DVDs, or renting, and then writing fanfic.
