the_rckOnce Mom leaves, I hope to start catching up on the projects that have been on hiatus. I've got a bit of a list. I'm probably going to continue being only sporadically available online until after I've gotten some of these things done. If any of you catch me online, ask me if I've got the LARP stuff done. If my answer's "no" and I'm not also engaged in baby feeding, bouncing, etc., please give me a virtual *thwap* and send me on my way-- I don't have time to hang out and chat until after the damned game is done.
1) Finish writing the last two characters for the LARP.
2) Complete the possessions list for the LARP.
3) Complete the special abilities list for the LARP.
4) Make the index cards for the LARP.
5) Make the character folders for the LARP.
6) Find something to wear to the wedding next week, something in which I can breast feed without stripping.
7) Pick out a wedding present.
8) Get to Wizzywig to buy the last Utena DVD.
9) Write up my list of crime scene questions for the Estet game.

11) Finish roughing out the structure of the Taisken Empire, at least as much of it as I actually need for the story.
12) Write "Rheotaxis" part 11.
13) Write some solo journal entries for the Estet game, assuming I can think of any.
I have two weeks to complete the LARP stuff, and I'm likely to need every bit of that time. Sigh... What I really need is somebody to watch Delia for about 6 hours while I work on the game. I think I could do a lot of the writing in that window. I think... Anyway, I'm going to have to give the LARP top priority since it's a hard, hard deadline. People will be paying money to participate and all.
After that, the wedding stuff and the trip to Wizzywig both have to be dealt with. Neither should take too long, and I might be able to delegate both to Scott. Well, apart from the clothing selection... If I'm lucky, I've got something that will still more or less fit. It's a lot thinner than I'd like for a November event, but the top buttons all the way down. I just don't know how well it will fit on my body with all the pregnancy weight I'm still carrying. If I'm unlucky, then Delia and I will be heading out to Briarwood for clothing shopping. Ick. But I'm hoping I can sidestep that... (Note: Okay, the clothes thing is resolved. The outfit looks fine and feels fine. I'll be chilly if I spend time anywhere cool, but I think I can manage.)
Once the items with deadlines are taken care of, I'll focus on the questions for the Estet game. There's a scene that's been on hold for a while so that a bunch of details could get worked out, and my questions will address some of those details. I've just been too freaked by the combination of my mother and the impending LARP deadline even to think about what I need to do there.
All the other items on the list are going to happen when they happen. I'm givinglunargeography's drafts priority over my own writing because my brain's still playing with things that need to happen in part 11. There's a scene between Ran, Omi and Ken that just doesn't want to work, and a bit more of Nagi and Yohji interaction that keeps running through my head in various permutations. Experience (namely, chapter 7) suggests that letting the possibilities play out in my head before I try to write will help create a better finished product. There are a few sentences and events that have already precipitated out, so I think that scene should be ready to go soon.
But the Ran, Ken and Omi bit has to come first in the final draft. I don't have to write it first, but I can't post anything till I fill in that gap. The interactions there will have long term importance. Sigh...
