May. 30th, 2012 03:55 pmWe were without internet service for about twenty six hours. Earthlink said it was a phone line problem and told us that the phone company said two or three days would be needed. I originally planned to spend a considerable chunk of today at the library, using their internet, but our DSL was back before I was going to leave at ten. (I don't know when the library opens on weekdays. Ten seemed like a safe enough guess, and waiting until then would let me miss the packed buses on the #2 route. By about nine thirty the folks commuting to work are all in town, so the #2 tends to have seats available. Any earlier than that and it's standing room only.)
The blister on my wrist has collapsed. It didn't burst, just dried up. It still looks really ugly, and I don't have surface skin sensation there. I suspect it may scar. It's a relief, though, to be able to go around unbandaged and not to have to worry that I'm going to hurt myself further. Now I just have to make sure I don't scratch when it itches. I'm taking the itching as a good sign.
I need to remember to call my father. He didn't call for my birthday, and he didn't call for Delia's birthday. I'm a bit worried that there's something wrong. I just have to remember to call at a time when he'll be home from work. We're two time zones earlier than he is, and he's not allowed to take his cell phone to work (he works in a prison). Not that I'd want to call him at work anyway. I don't want to get him into trouble, and I know his days are busy.

Date: 2012-06-04 08:02 pm (UTC)I still haven't called my father. I keep forgetting at times when he'd be likely to be home. Maybe tonight.
