I survived the treadmill test. They didn't immediately pull me in to see a cardiologist or anything, just said that my doctor should have the results in a couple of weeks. Delia survived my absence and apparently behaved herself well. I ended up getting her up and nursing her before I left, and that seems to have been the right call.

I now have a pretty good idea what's been wrong all week. Last night, the tickle in my throat that I'd put down to allergies on Wednesday became a full blown head cold. Tonight, I'm pretty sick, achy fever, raw throat, cough, nausea, etc.

Scott has to be at work at 3 am tomorrow, so I'm profoundly grateful to lunargeography for risking catching this by coming over to play with Delia. I simply couldn't keep up with her.

My brain's not working all that well, so if you've talked to me today or gotten any messages that didn't quite make sense, that's what's going on. I'm too busy feeling sick to think properly. Give me a day or two, and hopefully I'll be back to normal.

I wish my mother lived closer. She drives me crazy sometimes, but it would be nice to have her around at times like this.

Well, for your sake, I hope it's not the same thing or at least that you don't get it as badly as I have. If it is the same, I wonder where we caught it...

I hope it's not from me or my kids. I keep thinking we're completely healthy and then we go in for another round of whatever it is that we've got. For whatever it's worth, the symptoms of the thing we've been passing around are completely different from what you describe.
