(no subject)

I may be offline next week, Saturday to Saturday. We're going on vacation with Scott's parents and siblings (and spouses and kids). The place we're going to be staying may or may not have internet. The web listing says yes. The rental agreement says no but that that might change if they can swing it. I just don't know. At any rate, if I vanish for a week, that will be why.

I'm not particularly looking forward to this vacation. I'm hoping I can fit in some serious writing time while Delia's playing with her cousins (I need the writing time for my NFE story. I've barely started it, and I'm not sure I'll be keeping what I have written so far. I don't like the point of view character). I'm not interested in most of the stuff people will be doing, and people probably won't nag me to participate too much. Everybody knows I don't swim in lakes and don't play board or card games.

It's supposed to be cooler where we'll be. I'm looking forward to that. We just have to get through the packing and the drive. Scott's worn out and wants nothing more than to sleep, but we can't afford to let him.

Um... Your posting scares me!!! "Scott's worn out and just wants to sleep" but instead he's going to be doing a long drive sounds terrifying to me. I'm of the opinion that having a safe driver is more important than getting anywhere on schedule. Please be safe!!!!!

He was packing instead of sleeping. He got a decent night's sleep before he started driving. We got to bed at about eleven and got up about seven. I'd have liked for him to have more time to sleep, but he usually gets less than eight hours (more like six), so he was actually better rested than usual.

The packing was a little crazy because, for some reason, he didn't want to start packing until Delia was in bed and still wanted as much as possible to be in the car before he went to bed. We had extra time this morning, so I don't understand his urgency.
