I've signed up for Gmail. I don't plan to use it for mail unless something unexpected happens to my Earthlink address, so at this point I'm mostly using it for chat. If anybody's interested in being added to my Google chat list or in adding me to theirs, comment here or drop me an e-mail.

If you're only using it for chat, you could also use your LJ handle (therck@livejournal.com). It uses the same service as gmail (Jabber). You can add me there as both my gmail names (first.last@gmail), cherydactyl@gmail, and under livejournal if you like. Actually, I could already send you IM on therck@lj if you used it, as lj imports your friends list from LJ to your jabber friends list automagically.

For what it's worth, Google's got a great mail interface, better than any web-based email I've encountered before. You may find it growing on you.
