I updated my website yesterday. I've been 'in process' on updates since last fall, so it's well past time for it. The update includes:
Posting a bunch of fics by
lunargeography. The posted dates on those will all be from February because that's when I formatted them. I just didn't get around to the last step of uploading them. I think they're all either XXXHolic or Gundam Wing fics.
Posting some new recs. I'm not sure how many because I'm not sure when I last updated those pages. I spent several hours on it yesterday, so I think there were quite a few. I've got 109 recs left to write, format and upload. Those are mostly clustered in fandoms where I've got at least ten recs to write. The rest are things that pose logistical problems of one sort or another-- stories that are an arc set but don't have an arc name, exchanges that haven't done author reveals, things that were friends locked the last time I checked, archives I meant to finish and then post all the recs for but haven't completed yet.
Posting my four fics from the Weiss Kreuz Anonymous Kink Meme. I labeled them as 'unbeta'd,' but that's not strictly true. Three of them got a generous beta read that I then found myself utterly unable to make use of. I've been too tired and too stressed to do editing and rewriting on the fics at all and ended up posting them as they were. I take pride in my writing, but I don't take enough pride in it to sacrifice health or sanity for things that I don't plan to do anything further with.
All four fics contain elements that some readers may find squicky or otherwise uninteresting. I've put warnings on (as well as listing the prompts I wrote to) and suggest staying away from them, even if you've liked other things I've written, if anything in the warnings looks unpleasant. The fics were written to hit particular buttons, and the things I'm warning for tend to be the buttons in question. Three of them have big, honking consent issues.
Two of the fics lack titles. They're short and moderately PWP-ish (I'm not sure I can quite manage PWP). I listed them under 'Kink Meme Fics.' The other two have names because they're part of potential larger universes in my head. "Occlusion" is an AU that I probably won't pursue except in occasional fragments. I don't like any of the characters there even though what they might do interests me. It's pretty unrelievedly ugly in terms of what the characters do to each other. The other, "Torsion," starts an AU that I hope to pursue later. I've even written a second chapter of it to go with the one I wrote for the kink meme. It contains no explicit sex but is still, IMO, a hard R.
That gives me four Weiss Kreuz epic AUs in my head. "Rheotaxis" (halfway through chapter 18 and inching forward); "Apotheosis" (starts off with "Snare." I've written a few pages that come after that); "Torsion"; and "Occlusion." I write too slowly for this to really be a Good Thing.
