Jun. 7th, 2009 11:30 amAt this point, I'm really thinking that the Geodon is helping. I managed to write this week. Not only that, I managed to post some fic to my website. Admittedly, I had some outside impetus because I wanted to sign up for Remix 2009, but a month ago, that wouldn't have been enough.
I have five new(ish) Weiss Kreuz fics up on my website. One, "Transitions," was my Weiss Day 2009 fic and is about Sakura and Aya-chan right after the end of Kapitel. "Dynamic Stasis" is sort of a sequel to "Transitions." "Soiled" is a snippet I wrote for Fandom Stocking. "Scapegoat" is a nasty, probably quite squicky Ken/Crawford story that I wrote for a prompt and that ended up not fitting the prompt. It's explicit and violent and iffy on consent. "Gravid" is a Hel-centric ficlet.
I may spend part of today working on formatting and posting the four non-Weiss stories that I haven't yet posted. Two of them really ought to get serious rewrites first, however, so I'm not sure they'll go up yet. The other two just need polishing. Then again, three of them have been waiting for more attention since January. I may simply decide that it's not happening.
Most of these stories have either not been beta'd or have only been superficially beta'd. I'm not sure it's a good idea for me, from a productivity point of view, to sit on things while I try to get them beta'd. I tend to lose momentum and not write anything else and not make any attempt to rewrite on my own. I'll have to think about it.
I hope this change is due to the Geodon because that would mean that I can probably have it continue. I hope it's not just a blip of activity that will vanish quickly. I miss being able to write because it's something I do for me.

Date: 2009-06-08 01:31 am (UTC)Basically, I could see Ken not thinking it through and thus not seeing a problem. From his point of view, Shadow's him because he remembers all of it. Crawford sees Shadow as not-Ken but has no issues with hurting any person outside of his particular circle of family, especially not if it makes Ken happy. I'm not sure if Crawford realizes how much Ken would be upset by thinking about Shadow as a real person.
Schuldig realizes that they're setting themselves up for trouble later on. He just doesn't care at all about Ken. He cares about Crawford, just not enough to explain the depth of the potential problem. Besides, Schuldig's created alternate personalities for himself and for other people before. It's routine. It damages the person involved, but it's business as usual.
As to "Gravid," I started thinking about Hel and the choices she makes. I wanted to try to figure out why she does what she does. Canon seems mostly to handwave Schreient's motivation because the characters have to do certain things in order for the story to work. Plus, a friend pointed me to a song that she said seemed to her to be a perfect theme song for Schreient, and it gave me the idea that Hel was, to some degree, using Masafumi.
