Nov. 28th, 2017 11:52 amI actually managed a decent amount of sleep last night. I'm still exhausted, and it wasn't quite eight hours, but I feel better than I have in weeks. I was in and out of dreams for the last hour, looking at the clock as it edged toward 5:00 and then falling back into dreams about being forced to live in a dorm room with my parents and no access to a toilet.
I noticed a bounce in energy last night not long after I took my levothyroxine and then brushed my teeth. I'm not sure if it was the medication or the being up and moving. I'll have to watch the next couple of nights to see how that goes. My evening schedule now is to stop eating for the day at 6:00 (or a little earlier) and then take the levothyroxine two hours later. Then I brush my teeth and do other bed preparation things like filling my c-PAP reservoir. Half an hour after I finish brushing my teeth, I take my bedtime medications and then put in my bite splint.
The idea is to go to bed right after that, but it almost never works. Partly because of Cordelia wanting my attention and partly because of me going 'just one more thing--'
The being exhausted all day thing has lead to me getting dehydrated most afternoons because I'm too tired to get up for water most of the time. I keep a water bottle with me, but because of my meds, I dry out fast. Maybe I need to fill all of our spare water bottles every morning and keep them near where I sit? I do refill my 20 oz bottle every time I get up to visit the bathroom, but that's not enough to keep me from getting a headache, so I have no idea where all that water is going. Invisible water vampires?
I have three fics almost ready to post. One has beta comments on it that I need to deal with; the other two are awaiting comments. One of those is basically just a proofread before posting because the fic is for someone specific who's read the draft and is happy with it, generally.
I didn't realize that, when Scott said he'd 'rearranged the garage,' that meant he'd filled the trash and recycling bins past the point where the lids close. I managed to smash the trash in enough to fit the bag with the weekend's stinky food remnants, but I don't see how I can get the recycling in without pulling everything out and repacking it. We usually don't even half fill the bin, so I'm just going to hold onto the recycling that's still in the house. It doesn't stink and won't attract raccoons if it sits in the bin for the next week until pick up. I got the recycling and the compost to the curb, but I'm a bit afraid to move the trash bin. It's pretty heavy, and the wheels only help so much. Also, the whole overfull part means that tipping it to use the wheels is risky.
I changed our sheets this morning. I'd been meaning to do it for about nine days and just hadn't found the energy. My list of absolutely essential to-dos for the rest of the day is short. I need to put the birthday present for Cordelia's best friend into a gift bag and have it ready by the time Cordelia gets home, and the trash has to get to the curb. Anything else, in terms of chores, is gravy. It all needs doing, but tomorrow will be as good as today.
