No headache today, I'm not sure why. Tomorrow, I'll try stevia again and see if the headache comes back. It seems unlikely to be the stevia because of the timing. That is, the headache didn't start when I started having stevia regularly. It started a few days later. Still, it can't hurt to pay attention and see what happens. I'd just hate to lose the last low calorie sweetener available to me.

I've got about half a dozen different teas to try. I expect I'll find some that I want more of. I just have to figure out-- Part of why I'm turning to these teas is a desire for potentially low calorie caffeine. I like white tea, but I'm not sure it's a good substitute for a coke. I'd have to drink several cups of it to get the same level of caffeine (and I won't get the sugar. I think the sugar helps wake me up as much as the caffeine does). I'm also wondering how I'll feel about tea come summer. We're not set up to do anything with iced tea, and hot tea when it's ninety something outside might not work so well for me.

I've got a couple of tins from The Republic of Tea that I'd be happy to send to a new home if anybody's interested. The first is vanilla coconut white tea. It's good with honey but doesn't get along well with stevia. I've got forty-six bags left. The second is red velvet chocolate tea. It's a rooibos tea, and none of us much like rooibos. I don't think it tastes much like chocolate. The ingredients listed are 'rooibos, beet root bits, sweet blackberry leaves and natural chocolate and vanilla flavoring.' I'm not sure how many bags are left. The tin started with thirty-six bags and looks about three quarters full.

Scott had an 8 a.m. doctor's appointment today, so he didn't go in to work, just got up when Cordelia and I did. He kept his alarm on so that I'd have something to prompt me to go and take my thyroid medication. I appreciated that because, while I have two alarms on my clock, I find it hard to manage both a 5 a.m. and a 7 a.m. alarm. I invariably turn off the wrong alarm.

Scott was seeing somebody at the sleep disorders clinic. He has to go in once a year to maintain the prescription for his CPAP. This year, however, they discovered that nobody ever actually bothered to diagnose him with anything all those years ago. He's been using a CPAP for nearly twenty years now, and it really helps him a lot, but apparently they gave the thing to him without a clear idea of why he needed it. He's going to have to do a sleep study and hope that they come up with a diagnosis that will let him keep the CPAP. He thinks it's likely given that both of his parents have sleep apnea.

After his appointment, Scott called in to work to see if they needed him. His supervisor told him they were only running two lines and that she'd see him on Monday. She did say that she was going to see if they could set it up so that today was a vacation day for Scott rather than a call in day. He only gets two call in days every six months, and he used one a week or so ago when he threw out his back. Having this one not count in that way would be good.

Scott and I went to lunch at Cafe Marie. We had our usual. Then we stopped at the Syrian place for baklava and baba ghanouj (we're not telling Cordelia about the baklava, but we will share the baba ghanouj).

We got home about twenty minutes before Body Electric came on. Scott went out to do the grocery shopping while I exercised. Scott picked up a full sized chicken pot pie that we baked for dinner. Cordelia even liked it, and she hates just about everything we feed her. It's not something we'll do often, but we'll probably do it again some time.

Scott and Cordelia bought Frozen the day it came out. What with one thing and another, though, we haven't yet finished watching it. I think we had half an hour to go when it reached bedtime for Cordelia tonight. We weren't able to watch at all Wednesday or Thursday. Of course, Cordelia watched other things earlier in the evening. We could very easily have finished if she hadn't wanted to watch Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman and Kickin' It from Netflix.

Scott's having difficulty scheduling his Science Olympiad practice for this weekend. The second graders are busy on Saturday, and the fourth graders are busy on Sunday, both with Girl Scouts. He may have to schedule for the evening and have the practice here. It wouldn't be ideal, but it may be the only option.
