Mar. 21st, 2014 09:07 amNo headache today, I'm not sure why. Tomorrow, I'll try stevia again and see if the headache comes back. It seems unlikely to be the stevia because of the timing. That is, the headache didn't start when I started having stevia regularly. It started a few days later. Still, it can't hurt to pay attention and see what happens. I'd just hate to lose the last low calorie sweetener available to me.
I've got about half a dozen different teas to try. I expect I'll find some that I want more of. I just have to figure out-- Part of why I'm turning to these teas is a desire for potentially low calorie caffeine. I like white tea, but I'm not sure it's a good substitute for a coke. I'd have to drink several cups of it to get the same level of caffeine (and I won't get the sugar. I think the sugar helps wake me up as much as the caffeine does). I'm also wondering how I'll feel about tea come summer. We're not set up to do anything with iced tea, and hot tea when it's ninety something outside might not work so well for me.
I've got a couple of tins from The Republic of Tea that I'd be happy to send to a new home if anybody's interested. The first is vanilla coconut white tea. It's good with honey but doesn't get along well with stevia. I've got forty-six bags left. The second is red velvet chocolate tea. It's a rooibos tea, and none of us much like rooibos. I don't think it tastes much like chocolate. The ingredients listed are 'rooibos, beet root bits, sweet blackberry leaves and natural chocolate and vanilla flavoring.' I'm not sure how many bags are left. The tin started with thirty-six bags and looks about three quarters full.

Date: 2014-03-21 07:26 pm (UTC)I'm very curious about the vanilla coconut white tea, but getting it to me would mean shipping, so I don't know if that's worth it. I lik white tea, and vanilla, and coconut, though - so that does sound a bit promising.
